      Desperate for a clear answer.
I have a long tailed betta that bit off most all his tail.
I have Indian Almond leaves in his small 2.5 gal tank but want to know if I can also add some of the
      Seachem Stress Guard to help?
Does one work against the other?

I would normally use aquarium salts but this betta has a long history of swim bladder and understand
that the AS would not be good for him.

Sorry I didn’t see this sooner Judy, you can use Stress Guard with Indian Almond Leaves if you like. They do not work against each other.

However, warm and exceptionally clean water are usually key in getting fins to regrow. Fish that are tail biters sometimes develop a habit of it, so prepare yourself for that.

Lower doses of salt in the 1 tsp / 3 gallon range would be safe for him, even with his history of swim bladder issues.

Stacy, thank you so much for your reply.
The information about the salt is welcomed.

May I ask, would the aquarium salt interfere with the IAL or should I just remove the leaves
and stay with the water changes & salts?

      Thank you so much!
      Judy
