Rules Specific to Aquatic Experience

Aquatic Experience will be open from 10am – 6pm on Saturday October 12 and from 10am – 4pm on Sunday October 13th.  During these hours the show area will be open to the pubic for viewing and purchasing.

International Entrants:

Entries can be sent through Edy Tamtama Transhipping Service on  October 4th C/O Kasey Clark

$5 Fee paid to Betta Breeders United for tranship services.

All International Entrants will be jarred, fed, and hand delivered to the show.

IBC Exhibition Standards

Volunteer Schedule & Responsibilities

All volunteer commitments must be submitted by 9/26 in accordance with Aquatic Experience Policy.

Volunteers will receive free entry into the show floor ($15/day value)

Lodging is the responsibility of volunteers. Please reserve early. Hotel rooms will sell out quickly.

BBU has 2 suites on reserve (2 full size and one sofa bed per suite) from 10/10-10/14. Suites are available with pre-payment otherwise they will be canceled on 10/3.  The cost of each suite is $1170.80 (check in Thursday, check out Monday).

Thursday 10/10-

Show Setup 8AM- Completion

  • Unload show equipment
  • Set up
  • Jar and sort bettas

Friday 10/11

Judging 9AM-Completion

  • Finding, moving, sorting bettas for judges. Great way to learn about betta form and judging!

Saturday- 10am-6pm

  • Keep an eye on show floor
  • Answer questions
  • Help with show fish purchasing

Sunday 10am-4pm

  • Keep an eye on show floor
  • Answer questions
  • Help with show fish purchasing

Sunday 4pm- Completion

  • Break down show setup
  • Bag and box fish to be returned
  • Load equipment

The sales experience at Aquatic Experience will be slightly different, here’s what you need to know:

All fish you choose to sell at this show will be sold as “Buy It Now” sales, there will be no auction.  Entrants set the sale price on their entry forms. The sales split is 70% entrant, 20% BBU, 10% AE.

BOS, RBOS, BOV and RBOV fish must stay on display for the duration of the show.  All sales fish that do not sell will be considered donations unless return shipping is included.  Unsold international bettas will be sold on Prismbettas.com on behalf of the entrants (split 70% entrant, 30% BBU).
