For those of us that are Wild Betta breeders and show at IBC events around the country the new Area 1 International Class List for 2017-2018 has changed dramatically.
Variety I: Breeders Division
I5. Hybrids (ex: imbellis/splendens, or giant/splendens, etc.) (must be labelled) (not eligible for BOV or BOS) (TRIAL)

Division J: Wild Type Betta Varieties Not Eligible for BOS
J1. Bubblenesters pairs/trios (trios are TRIAL) (label trios m/m/f or m/f/f) (trios should not count more for judging than pairs) Small Bubblenesters Large Bubblenesters
J2. Mouthbrooders pairs/trios Small Bubblenesters Large Bubblenesters
J3. Single Entry (Male and Female) (TRIAL) (singles are weighed half points from pairs/trios) Male (all, may be split as above) Female (all, may be split as above)
