Hello all, just wanted to drop a quick note. I’m 60+ years, recently retired (again!), and am looking for a new fish hobby and was amazed at all the new colors and types of bettas. I’ve managed pet/fish stores all my life and my first tank (age 13) held my first red betta. When he started his nest I was hooked. My experience before this involved english guppies in various containers and I’ve had tanks most of my life. Had everything from a discus breeding room to 6 foot reef tanks with closet size filters. I’m looking for ideas for a small, easily managed betta room and look forward to getting my first bettas. Thanks for reading this and hope to see you around!

Hi and welcome! The world of bettas has certainly exploded with variety since I first started keeping fish (much more recently than yourself! :p). Something for everyone to be found, that’s for sure! What varieties are grabbing your interest?
