    Basic duties of JB positions:

The Judging Board is in charge of all aspects of the IBC show system. Specific areas that the Judging Board are responsible for are the IBC Show Standards (“the Judging Manual”), Judges’ Training, Judges’ Certification and Records, IBC Show Scheduling, IBC Points Registrar. After the general members are elected, the Judging Board self-selects from among their group a designated Chair, who oversees the JB, guides discussion, tracks voting, and is generally the point person for contact. The Judging Board also generally self-selects members who will be in charge over the overall aspects of the other responsibilities. Area Representatives help coordinate the aspects of these responsibilities in their specific areas, including the ability to form committees to handle some of the work. All members of the Judging Board, both general and area reps, are expected to participate on the forum discussions regularly and vote in the polls. The weight of your experience is what you are bringing to the Judging Board and we need everybody to fully engage in all aspects of discussion and voting.

Area Representatives specific duties on the Judging Board include:
    – being the Area Advisory committee chair for their Area
    – being a voice for Area-specific representation in the Judging Board for needs and thoughts of their Area
    – being a primary contact point for any Area concerns and bringing those to the JB (though any IBC member can also contact the JB directly)
    – working with the JB registrar to organize the points and awards for year-end show totals in their Area (can head a committee or assign to another as long as it gets done) (for areas with more than 1 show a year)
    – working with the JB show chair to organize shows in the Area (can head a committee or assign to another as long as it gets done)

    Hi Fazel,

Sorry, no nominations will be accepted in the forum posts.

To answer your question about Area 4 JB Representatives, at this time Area 4 does not qualify for its own representative. To qualify, an Area needs 3 chapters and 20 members within its borders as of January 1st of the voting year.

    Hey All,

I made an oops when setting up the email for nominations. I fixed it last night (1/26/2017 @ 5pm Arizona Time). So, if you sent in your nomination prior to that time, please send again.

    Sorry for the error.
