I’ve posted this on the FB and Yahoo groups, seems boards aren’t that popular in the IBC. I can understand when hands were pruned from bottle washing, but now 😉
It’s been a couple decades since I closed up my commercial fish room and Betta breeding/showing. Dragged from the basement website design into the office and all the crap that comes with it. Forced into retirement due to illness I’m now back and running – running back to the days I enjoyed life the most. Raising fish for profit has passed and there’s never been anything but pride and joy in Bettas. I poured through the list of members and recognized so few. Having raised these beauties, the commitment and work especially in the bottle washing years can wear you out. So I’m back, have my 100 container barracks moving from design to construction. Sending some emails out to those I remember, hopefully those who remember me will drop a line. I’m not sure how this new large community is working today, but we’re Betta people, enough said. I look forward to meeting old friends (and you were old then!) and new ones at the shows. I’d like to get a few pairs with some quality geno’s to work with. I’m blown away with the genetic advancements. Some are a little Pollack for me, coming from the age of creating pure black males and fertile females. I’ll be working with my youngest son who’s faced difficulties and well we’re a competitive pair. So the room under construction and spawning tanks ready, and no 1 gallon jar in sight! Amazing…
