Good day my fellow betta fish admiring friends! I thought I would introduce myself seeing as I am new to the forum.

My names Fran and I’m from Derby, which is in not so sunny old England. I’ve recently became a member of IBC, and hope to grow betta knowledge on this side of the pond, for a choice of words. I have a huge soft spot for our betta splendens, and have done so since I was a young boy when my father have a stunning red and blue male crowntail.

So, here’s to many more forum posts by me as I try to get to know as many of you as possible!

Fran, let me just say that I’m rather excited that you hail from the UK. The UK has been a rather quiet area for IBC members for years and its nice to see new interest.

Hi Stacy, and thanks for the warm welcome!

I’ve only recently discovered the IBC, after being in the hobby for a short while I wanted to invest more time into all things betta, and after a short Google search, here I am!

I’ve also emailed and Facebook messaged IBC offering my time to help out with tasks such as photo editing, writing and blogging. So hopefully you’ll be seeing more of me in the not so distant future! 🙂
