    As Craig below, I’m an old-timer getting back into bettas from the 80’s… was a member of LABS back then in California.
    Just finished setting up a fish-room on my property and hope to start up in retirement which hopefully won’t be too far off. Right now I’m getting caught up on genetics so I can decide where I want to start. I plan on just working a couple of lines as I know how quickly things can get out of hand. Don’t know the best place to get in touch with other people in my area except through my local club and the IBC. Seems the hobby has a fairly good turn over rate, though there were a lot of long timers at the convention in Florida this year which I attended.
    Hopefully this forum and other outlets will get us together in the future.
