Tank mates for betta

I been pondering getting a tank for a decade, and 1-2 months ago I made the descision to take the jump, and been reading up as best I can on nescisary info (I studied animal science back in the day, which helps but its still a lot of info to process).

I plan to set up a 38g community tank at the end of June and during late summer/autumn add betta sp. into it, undecided on type but leaning towards stiktos atm. I plan to have a small group of platy in there for the kid, and would also like a- or some bottom feeders.

This is where I would like help, I narrowed it down to 6 choices (2 Pleco species and 4 corydora species). And would love some input on whether it’s something I haven’t thought about that can help me narrow down the list of choices. (So far i been filtering based on tank size and water parameters).

I am looking at:
candy cane pleco
leopardfrog pleco
corydora copei
corydora pulcher
corydora parallelus
corydora incolicana

Which would fit better with Betta, want to make sure I don’t have any issues with things like fin nipping etc that would be an issue for the Betta.
